POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for supervising personnel operating diamond core drilling machines for both surface and underground exploration. Works closely with the Maintenance, Human Resources, and Client departments.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Education: Degree in Geology, technical career, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum of 4 years in a similar position.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
-
Extensive experience in diamond core drilling with core recovery and service holes.

Proven work in both underground and surface drilling environments.

Strong leadership and adaptability to different methods and working conditions.

Knowledge of hydraulic mechanics, electrical systems, and diesel engines.

Ability to manage and optimize resources through efficient planning.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Design and plan drilling layouts.
-
Manage and control inventory.
-
Plan drilling methods based on ground conditions, including preparation of additives to optimize and increase production.

Execute rescue maneuvers for stuck or blocked pipes.

Ensure regulatory compliance in drilling processes.
-
Oversee operational plan execution.
-
Prepare daily reports.
-
Perform borehole measurements (Reflex, DEVIco).
-
Prepare samples.
-
Inspect the condition of equipment and tools.
-
Train operational personnel.
